No written paper, no quiz: everything rests on a 25-minute interview, including 5 minutes of presentation. A mark under 5 out of 20 eliminates, and the 2027 CDG 13 registrations closed on 8 October 2026.

The real format of the exam, and what actually decides it.
The territorial nurse competition consists of a single paper: a 25-minute admission interview, including at most 5 minutes of presentation on your training and professional project. No written paper, no quiz. The jury then asks questions, with no subject to handle and no preparation time provided for by the text.
According to the CDG 13 brochure, the paper is marked out of 20, without coefficient: below 5, the mark is eliminatory, and 10 is needed to be admitted. The jury does not reassess your care technique; it tests your territorial knowledge and your reactions in situations. The dates vary by management centre, and the CDG 13's 2027 session closed on 8 October 2026.

What actually blocks you.
The obstacles that cost you points, not the clichés.
Improvising the five minutes of presentation
No document and no preparation time. The jury expects a plan announced and held, and a presentation that is too short or cut off at 5 minutes is penalised.
Revising care instead of status
The diploma already attests medical knowledge, which the jury does not reassess. What is marked: local authorities, the rights and obligations of civil servants, social policies and simulations.
Betting on a catch-up written paper
A single paper, no written paper to compensate, and an eliminatory mark under 5 out of 20. Everything rests on a single speaking performance.
Missing the submission deadline
The profession is regulated: the state diploma, or a recognised equivalent qualification, is required, with no possible exemption. An incomplete or late file is rejected, and the CDG 13 window closed on 8 October 2026.
The method, in 3 steps.
A course goes in. Ready-made materials come out. You study.
01
Write the presentation, then deliver it in 5 minutes
A two-part plan, training then project, timed out loud. Without notes on the day, you need to have rehearsed it to hold the time.
02
Make sheets on status, not physiology
Three blocks: local authorities, rights and obligations, social policies. Add the health and social current affairs of recent months, which the jury may use.
03
Practise the twenty-minute exchange
Have questions put to you without preparation, answer in one to two minutes with an example. A simulation is handled like a concrete case.
What Summry does for this exam.
Study materials, not a promise you’ll pass.
Sheets for the jury's themes
Import your public law, status and social policy courses as PDF, Word or photos: you get sheets by theme, to review before the exchange.
A mind map for the presentation
Build the map of your presentation: training on one side, project on the other. It helps you hold the announced plan during the 5 minutes, without notes.
Quizzes to spot confusions
The paper has no quiz, but questions generated from your course reveal what you still confuse: a local authority's competence, a statutory obligation, a social scheme.
The chat to find the exact rule
Ask the chat your question: it reads only your files, and gives you the rule to quote to the jury.
Summry does not replace a mock oral: it does not listen to you, does not mark your 5-minute presentation and does not tell you whether your project holds up before a jury. That out-loud rehearsal is worked on alone or in pairs.
Frequently asked questions.
The questions we get asked most often about Territorial nurse competition.
Which papers do you have to sit?
One only: a 25-minute admission interview, including at most 5 minutes of presentation on your training and professional project. The jury then asks questions, with no subject to handle and no preparation time provided for by the text. No written paper, no quiz. The paper is marked out of 20, without coefficient; a mark below 5 is eliminatory, and 10 is needed to be admitted (CDG 13 brochure).
Who can register for the competition?
You need the state nursing diploma, or a recognised equivalent qualification, or an authorisation to practise for EU and EEA nationals, plus the general conditions of the civil service. As the profession is regulated, no diploma exemption is possible. An internal route is reserved for category B territorial nurses with five years of public service.
Can you still register for the 2027 session?
For CDG 13, which organises in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, no: pre-registrations ran from 25 August to 30 September 2026 and the signed file had to be submitted by 8 October 2026 at 23:59. The oral is announced from 5 to 9 April 2027. The other management centres have their own windows, and the 2028 session is not published as of 28 October 2026: check your region's centre calendar.
How many places are open in 2027?
CDG 13 announces 54 places for the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. No national total is published: each management centre sets its places in its opening decree, and the other organisers publish their own figures in their brochure or notice. No 2027 pass rate is available to date.
What happens once admitted?
You are registered on a national list of aptitude, valid for two years and renewable twice for one year. This registration is not a recruitment: you then apply to municipalities, departments and public establishments. The indicative gross starting salary is €1,944.50 per month, excluding residence allowance (CDG 13 brochure of 8 April 2026).
