PASS or L.AS marks

Entry to the IFMK (institut de formation en masso-kinésithérapie, physiotherapy training institute) is decided over a university year, not on a single paper. Your first session and your institute's agreement decide almost everything.
The real format of the exam, and what actually decides it.
There is no longer an entrance exam for the IFMK (institut de formation en masso-kinésithérapie, physiotherapy training institute). You first validate a university year, in a health-access degree (PASS or L.AS, health-access routes until 2026-2027), then you apply with your marks. The principle is national, the ranking is local: each institute signs an agreement with its universities. At Lyon 1, 75 places in 2027.
What decides is the first session: at Lyon 1, you need 60 ECTS validated in June and, in L.AS, a health minor validated without compensation. A failed semester costs a whole year, not just a summer. The 2027 IFMK application calendar is not published: your institute's page remains the reference.
The format and weight of each paper, without the noise around it.
Consistency: it is a year average, not a single paper.
Validated in June, otherwise the application does not exist.
These candidates are admitted without an interview: the score is enough.
A reasoning held out loud, without getting lost in details.
Prioritise: say what you would do, and why.
Partial exemption from units, based on a file then an interview.
The dates that matter, with their status.
To be confirmed: the 2027 calendar is not published. At Lyon 1, digital submission in the 2nd semester, dates announced by the university.
Official date. Choices for the health-access year, not for the IFMK.
Official date: last day to attach documents and confirm your choices.
Lyon 1 rule: the papers cannot start before this delay. No 2027 date published.
The first of the four years spent at the institute.
Dates checked on October 28, 2026. Any date that hasn’t been published is flagged as such.
The obstacles that cost you points, not the clichés.
At Lyon 1, you need 60 ECTS validated in June and, in L.AS, a health minor validated without compensation. Summer resits do not reopen the application.
Access depends on the agreement signed between the IFMK and its universities. The same degree can open one institute and not the one next door. The Parcoursup page and the IFMK website are authoritative.
The 75 places, the 37 / 17 / 21 split and the coefficients are those of Lyon 1. Your institute has its own figures and its own jury: compare like with like.
Two ten-minute interviews weigh 30% of the mark, one of them with no preparation at all. Improvising means letting nearly a third of the ranking slip.
A course goes in. Ready-made materials come out. You study.
Read the Parcoursup page and the IFMK page: accepted pathways, ECTS, minor. The 2027 dates are not published yet.
Your score is a unit average. Make sheets in the format of the question asked, not following the course outline: you gain points by testing yourself.
Ten minutes of preparation, ten minutes of presentation, record yourself. The second interview is trained without preparation: draw a situation and speak.
Study materials, not a promise you’ll pass.
Your score is a unit average. Quizzes drawn from your courses show you which units are costing you points, before the jury does the maths.
In L.AS 1, it weighs 20% of the score at Lyon 1, and a validation by compensation does not count for selection. Cards on the minor block, reviewed until the first session.
For the reasoning oral, the answer only comes from your files: a definition, a value, a mechanism.
The first interview leaves you ten minutes to prepare a presentation. A mind map of the chapter gives you a plan to hold, instead of a muddle.
Summry does not calculate your score, does not say whether your file clears the threshold and does not prepare an oral exam for you: your institute's agreement and your first-session marks still have to be checked on your side.
The questions we get asked most often about Physiotherapy (IFMK).
No. Since 2020, students enter an IFMK after a validated university year (60 ECTS), based on marks and criteria set by agreement between the institute and its universities. Some institutes add two interviews for candidates just below the threshold. The licence portail santé opens in 2027 for medicine, pharmacy, dentistry and midwifery; for the IFMK, no date is published.
Yes, if the first year you followed is one of the pathways provided for by the target institute's agreement. At Lyon 1, the health-access STAPS degree, Health Sciences and several science degrees are included. Not every STAPS or biology degree gives access: check the Parcoursup page and the IFMK website before enrolling.
Twice at most during the first university cycle, according to Onisep. The second application requires validating an additional year of study, i.e. 60 more ECTS. It is a real second chance, but it costs a year: the first attempt deserves to be prepared as if it were the only one.
Five years after the bac: one year of selection at university, then four years at the IFMK, i.e. 300 ECTS and a master's grade. The four years at the institute combine lectures, practical work and placements in care facilities. The state diploma of masseur-kinésithérapeute is awarded at the end.
You continue the degree you started into the second year, or you reorient through Parcoursup. Nothing switches automatically to another IFMK: the ranking applies to the institute and the group of pathways under which you applied. That is why the agreement is checked before enrolment, not after the results.
