Summry or Partielo?

Partielo and Summry promise the same thing: turning a course into study material. Partielo starts from a PDF, draws a study sheet from it, then six exercise formats, with a calendar up to the day itself. Summry is our tool: it also takes photos, audio and Word, and generates study sheets, flashcards and quizzes in about twenty seconds. If your course is already a clean PDF and you want a mock exam, go to Partielo; if you start from photos, recorded lectures or Word files, and want to output CSV to Anki, stay here.

Two tools, two approaches.

Partielo starts from the study sheet. You upload a PDF, the tool analyses, suggests themes, writes. Or you write by hand. Then you practise: multiple choice, true/false, question-answer, mock exam, flashcards, fill-in-the-blanks. Each exercise is marked, and a calendar spreads the passes from D-7 to the day itself — that is the Premium part.

Summry starts from the upload, and from what you have in hand when you leave a lecture. PDF, photo of your notes, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, audio, YouTube. You get study sheets, flashcards, quizzes and mind maps. We develop Summry, so we know its blind spots: no dated D-7 → exam day calendar, no configurable mock exam, no catalogue of public study sheets. On those three points, Partielo does better. Summry is at its best when the course is a photo of a handwritten page; Partielo, when the course is already a clean PDF.

Summry is our tool. We compare it with its limits, and we also say what Partielo does better.

What Partielo does well.

What really works in Partielo, and when it helps.

  • The study sheet, then practice loop.

A study sheet generated from a PDF or a simple topic, six self-marking exercise formats behind it, including a mock exam configurable by level and subject. Summry does not offer a mock exam.

  • The “From a course” mode.

PDF up to 50 MB, analysis, suggested themes, generated study sheets. On a 40-page handout, that avoids splitting by hand.

  • The revision calendar.

D-7 reading, D-6 generation, D-5 revision, D-2 mock exam, the day itself, with an estimated time per session. It is Premium, and it frames a semester.

  • The study sheet podcast.

Two voices, from 1 min 30 to 5 min, that complement the study sheet instead of reading it. The pricing page does not say whether it is included in the free plan.

  • The catalogue.

About 23,000 public study sheets on its “Nos fiches” page (October 28, 2026), including medicine and law, plus an official curriculum from secondary school to the general bac. Useful when your study sheet does not exist: Summry generates, it does not pick from a catalogue.

  • The yearly price.

€5.83/month billed yearly, i.e. €69.99 a year, calendar and PDF export included. That is the same order of price as Summry Essentiel (€70/year), for a tool that also plans revision.

What Summry adds.

The differences that matter when the study load grows.

  • Generation in about twenty seconds.

Study sheets, flashcards and quizzes, often faster. Partielo analyses the PDF, suggests themes, then generates: three steps before the study sheet.

  • What you can upload.

Partielo only accepts PDF on its public pages, 50 MB maximum. Summry takes a photo of a handwritten page, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, audio, YouTube, pasted text. In a lecture, a photo is often all you have.

  • A chat that only talks about your documents.

Its answer relies on your documents, not the web. At Partielo, no chat is documented: we write “not verified”, the logged-in area was not inspected.

  • An export that goes out.

Anki-compatible CSV and PDF printing. At Partielo, PDF export exists, and it is a Premium advantage; no CSV or Anki export is documented there.

  • Mind maps.

One map to see the plan of a chapter. Partielo’s “cards” are flashcards written by the AI; no mind map is documented.

The study load, in medicine and beyond

A semester of PASS, LAS or medicine means handouts, handwritten courses, sometimes recorded lectures. The load is not only remembering: you first have to produce material, then hold it up to the exams.

Partielo carries a good part of it. The PDF goes in, the mock exam helps, the calendar frames the last weeks, and its catalogue already contains medical study sheets. Two limits appear quickly. Its official curriculum stops at the general secondary school level: nothing verified for the PASS/LAS or law, only study sheets uploaded by users. And its calendar plans by study sheet, not card by card: it is not adaptive spaced repetition.

That is where Summry was born. PDF, photo, audio, Word, YouTube: you upload, you get study sheets, flashcards and quizzes in about twenty seconds. The chat answers about your documents, and the CSV goes to Anki. What it does not do: plan revision from D-7 to the day itself, nor make you sit a mock exam. [Our method for the PASS and medicine](/pour/pass-medecine) details the flow. Over a semester of handouts, the difference lies in the time spent producing the material, not revising it.

The head-to-head.

Nine criteria, the same for every tool. A “—” means “not verified”, not “no”.

When to choose which?

Two different uses. See which one looks like yours.

Choose Partielo

You have your courses in PDF and want a clean study sheet, then exercises to test yourself — with a configurable mock exam and a D-7 → exam day calendar that Summry does not offer. The podcast helps on commutes. The free plan is enough to try: 10 study sheets and 10 exercises.

Choose Summry

You have handwritten, photographed, recorded courses, or courses scattered across Word and PowerPoint files. Summry takes them all, generates in about twenty seconds, answers about your documents, outputs CSV for Anki and mind maps. It does not plan your revision for you: for the calendar, Partielo stays ahead.

Pricing.

Prices listed on the official sites, with no sponsored offer.

Summry

  • Free (50 credits/month, the number of courses depends on their size)
  • Essentiel €7/month, or €5.83/month billed yearly (€70/year)
  • Major €15/month, or €10/month billed yearly (€120/year)

Partielo

  • Free (10 study sheets, 10 exercises)
  • Premium €12.99/month
  • Quarterly €10.00/month (€29.99 for 3 months)
  • Yearly €5.83/month (€69.99/year)

Billed yearly, the two are within a cent of each other: €69.99 a year at Partielo, €70 for Summry Essentiel. But the two tiers do not cover the same thing. At €69.99, Partielo sells its Premium, calendar and PDF export included. At €70, Summry sells its Essentiel. Above that, Summry goes to Major, €120/year (€10/month); Partielo has no higher tier.

Per month, the gap is clear: €12.99 at Partielo against €7 for Summry Essentiel. Over twelve months paid monthly, that is €155.88 against €84. Partielo also offers a quarter at €29.99, i.e. €10.00/month: over a year, €119.96. Summry has no equivalent, it is monthly or yearly.

The free plans do not play in the same category. Partielo gives 10 study sheets and 10 exercises. Summry gives 50 credits a month, and the number of courses depends on their size: a 300-page handout does not cost the same as a two-page study sheet. Worth flagging, two figures that do not agree at Partielo: the FAQ promises “your first 3 study sheets free” while the pricing page advertises 10, checked on the same day.

Frequently asked questions.

Answers to the most common questions about Partielo and Summry.

Summry or Partielo: which one should you choose to study?

Partielo when your courses are already in PDF and you want the study sheet, six exercise formats, a mock exam and a calendar in the same place. Summry when you first have to produce material from photos, audio or office files, and send it back to Anki. The split is clear: Partielo plans, Summry produces more widely.

Can you import a photo of notes into Partielo?

On the public pages, no: the only file field in the generator accepts PDF, 50 MB maximum, and the interface displays “PDF · Max 50 MB”. No photo, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, audio or YouTube import is documented there. The logged-in area was not inspected: we do not claim it is impossible.

Does Partielo export to Anki?

No CSV or Anki export is documented at Partielo. PDF, yes, and it is a Premium advantage. For Anki, we stay on “not verified”: the logged-in area was not inspected. Summry outputs CSV advertised as Anki-compatible; its compatibility with Quizlet is not verified.

Are Partielo cards mind maps?

No, they are flashcards, written by the AI from your study sheet. No mind map is documented, neither on the public pages nor in the pricing. We write “not verified” rather than “absent”: the publisher claims nothing either way.

Does Summry work on a phone?

Yes, as a PWA: you add it to your home screen from the browser, without going through a store. Partielo is also a PWA, with no app on the App Store or Google Play. On that point, the two are level. Nothing documents offline use at Partielo.
